Thrilling news! D.L. (Don) Parks has won the 2010 People's Choice Award/ Best of Show at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum Invitational Show in Canyon, Texas! Way to go Don- such an incredible accomplishment for a first year exhibitor at the Museum!

The Panhandle Plains Museum it is a must see. It happens to be the largest historical museum in Texas and boasts an incredibly diverse and educational collection of fine art, artifacts, and remnants of the past. JWFA Artists take Montgomery, Alabama by storm!

We are tremendously honored to announce that two of the Joe Wade Fine Art family of artists, Cynde Roof and Curtis Wade, were stand outs at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts biennial Art Auction in Montgomery, Alabama this past month! (And, we can tell you the MMFA's auction is an enormous undertaking from start to finish...)

Last Fall over a dozen judges, selected by the MMFA board, poured into the gallery and began the daunting process of selecting works of art to be included in their biennial fundraiser. The judges explored the entire gallery and every available work by artists they were considering. The process took almost half a day in Joe Wade Fine Art alone- of course we understood their dilemma with all the great artists we represent! We thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the gallery and love that the proceeds from the MMFA Art Auction go to support the exhibition, education, and acquisition programs of the Museum directly. The Museum is quite proud of the fact that most of the auction lots typically bring more than their value! And, you know that was music to our ears- after all, fundraisers are intended to raise some serious $$$$!

All told, approximately 500 works of art from across the U.S. were up for auction during the MMFA fundraiser- only 35 pieces were selected for the live bidding portion, and you guessed it- both Cynde Roof and Curtis Wade were included in the live auction event. ALL of their paintings sold! Kudos to these fine artists for donating fabulous art for a fabulous cause! For more information on the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, it's vision, mission, programs, and exhibits visit http://www.mmfa.org/ . Just In!

Chickens drinking in bars and couples macking on the dance floor, calm & restorative mountain lakes and traffic jams in rural Mexican towns, the inability to read a map but the wherewithal to steal a trillion horses... We might not all have been there but Shana Zimmerman, Roger Williams, and Jack Sorenson sure have! Visit http://www.joewadefineart.com/ for the entire collection...
